About Us
The Omaha Home for Boys has been a leader in the field of child and youth care since 1920 and is committed to its Mission of supporting and strengthening youth and families.
The Home’s Residential Care program provides a safe, structured living environment in a cottage setting with caring House Parents, balanced meals and educational support for boys ages 10 – 18 years. Each year more than 100 boys are taught basic behavioral, disciplinary and living skills. All youth attend public school. Additionally, over 50 young men and women, ages 17 – 21, who have “aged-out” of group home programs can continue to receive help as they are taught how to live independently and transition into adulthood through the Home’s Independent Living program.
The Home accepts youth of all ethnic and religious backgrounds from around the country, with the majority coming from Nebraska and surrounding states. Placement can be made privately, through human service agencies or the court system.
The Omaha Home for Boys is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children (COA).
